Fertility Tourism in the Philippines

The Philippines is a growing destination for fertility treatment in Southeast Asia, offering significantly more affordable IVF compared to Singapore, Japan, or the United States. IVF cycles typically range from PHP 250,000 – 550,000 (USD $4,500 – $10,000), with some clinics offering minimal-stimulation protocols for as low as PHP 150,000. Egg freezing costs approximately PHP 28,000 – 170,000 (USD $500 – $3,000).

An important limitation for fertility tourists: donor egg, donor sperm, and donor embryo programs are not available through licensed Philippine IVF clinics. No specific law prohibits or permits donor IVF or surrogacy, but licensed clinics do not currently offer these services. IVF is generally limited to married couples using their own gametes. However, the IVF Asia Group is one exception that advertises donor egg programs. Single women may freeze their eggs, but using them later through IVF at a Philippine clinic would require being legally married at that point.

The Philippines has two main fertility hubs: Metro Manila (Makati City, Taguig, Quezon City) with 5 accredited clinics, and Cebu City in the Visayas with 1 clinic. All IVF centers must be accredited by the Philippine Society for Reproductive Medicine (PSRM).
