Fertility Clinics Directory
Compare the best fertility clinics across Finland for IVF, egg freezing, sperm freezing, and identity-release donor programs. Ranked by donor programs, services, and patient reviews.
Finland offers a well-regulated, patient-friendly fertility landscape backed by one of Europe's strongest public health systems. Finnish law mandates identity-release (open-ID) donation across the board — egg donors must be 21–35 years old and sperm donors 18–45, and all donors consent to their identity being disclosed to donor-conceived children upon reaching age 18. This makes Finland a top destination for intended parents who prioritise transparency and their future child's right to know their origins. The Finnish Fertility Act (Laki hedelmöityshoidoista) also explicitly permits treatment for single women and same-sex couples, making Finland one of the most inclusive Nordic jurisdictions for LGBTQ+ family building.
Finland's three main fertility hubs are Helsinki (the capital, hosting the majority of private and public clinics), Tampere (home to the nationally recognised Ovumia network), and Turku. The national health insurer KELA reimburses part of the cost of up to three IVF cycles for eligible patients, bringing the effective out-of-pocket cost per cycle down to roughly EUR 2,500–5,000 after reimbursement. Surrogacy — whether commercial or altruistic — is not regulated and effectively prohibited in practice. Finland's clinics hold Valvira (National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health) accreditation and operate under strict data-protection standards, giving international patients a high degree of confidence in clinical governance.
